Bible Forgiveness #2
The Blessings of Forgiveness Psalms 32:1 “ Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” Have you been hurt by the actions or words of others? Are you obeying God’s command to forgive? Is there anyone you feel you cannot forgive? When someone you trust hurts you, you can hold on to bitterness and grudges –or you can adopt forgiveness and move forward. Holding on to the pain of being offended can drain you emotionally, physically and/or spiritually. The scars can leave lasting feelings of bitterness, anger and even hatred. By embracing forgiveness. You embrace peace and hope. Forgiveness is a command from God. Colossians 3:13 “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you ” (NIV). And like his other commands, you have a free will to embrace it or disobey.
